How to analyze your games for free, like Chess.com Game Review
By Atulya GuptaA free Chess.com account gets one full Game Review per day. To review every game for free, open it in a free analyzer. On AuditChess, change "chess.com" to "auditchess.com" in the game link to get accuracy, an eval graph and every move labelled from Best to Blunder, with no account.
What Chess.com Game Review gives you, and the limit
Chess.com Game Review runs your game through Stockfish and shows an accuracy score for each player, an evaluation graph, and a label on every move (Brilliant, Great, Best, Good, Inaccuracy, Mistake, Blunder and so on), plus coach-style commentary.
On a free account you get one full review per day. Unlimited reviews need a paid membership. If you play several games a day, most of them go unreviewed, and those are the games where you learn the most.
Method 1: change the URL (fastest)
Open your finished game on Chess.com. In the address bar, replace "chess.com" with "auditchess.com" and press Enter. For example, chess.com/game/live/123456789 becomes auditchess.com/game/live/123456789.
AuditChess fetches the game and opens a full review: accuracy for both sides, an eval graph, every move labelled from Best to Blunder, and the engine's best line at each mistake. It works for live and daily games, there is no daily limit, and you do not need an account.
Method 2: review all your games at once
Enter your Chess.com or Lichess username on AuditChess. It loads your recent games, so you can review any of them with one click instead of one at a time.
This is where it goes beyond a single-game review. Because it sees your whole history, it can also show your worst openings, the winning positions you threw away, and the mistakes you keep repeating.
Method 3: import the PGN into Lichess
On Chess.com, open the game, click Share and copy the PGN. Paste it into Lichess (lichess.org/paste) and request computer analysis. Lichess gives free, unlimited Stockfish analysis with inaccuracy, mistake and blunder marks.
It is a good option, but it takes a few more steps per game and does not use Chess.com-style labels like Best, Great or Brilliant.
How to get the most out of a review
Do not just look at the accuracy number. Go to the first big swing on the eval graph, cover the engine line, and try to find the better move yourself. Then ask why you missed it: a hanging piece, a missed check, or time pressure.
Do this for every game, not just the one a day you are allowed. Repeated mistakes only show up when you review all your games.
The best free option
AuditChess is the best free tool for this job. It gives you a Chess.com-style review of every game with no daily limit and no paywall, then shows the patterns across all your games that are holding your rating back. Fix those, and your rating goes up.
