What is Chess Wrapped?
Chess Wrapped is a free chess year in review for Chess.com and Lichess players, made by Audit Chess. It reads your last 12 months of games (up to your latest 1,000) and turns them into a Spotify-Wrapped-style story of 20+ slides set to Beethoven's Für Elise: how much you played, how you won, the openings and checkmates that defined your year, your accuracy and best win, and the grandmaster you play most like. It needs no account, runs in your browser, and works any day of the year.
What's in your Chess Wrapped
Your year in numbers
- • Volume: games, hours at the board, moves played, days played and your longest single session.
- • Habits: favourite time control, peak hour, busiest month and day, and how your openings changed over the year.
- • Results: record and win rate by colour, rating journey and peak, your best win and your biggest upset.
Your chess, move by move
- • Openings: your signature opening, top 3 as White and Black, your go-to first move and your secret weapon.
- • Tactics: knight forks landed, your signature checkmate pattern (smothered, back-rank, Arabian and more) and how you won.
- • Endgames & castling: your strongest and weakest endgame type, and how and when you castle.
Engine stats and personality
- • Accuracy: your accuracy for the year and your most accurate game, plus blunders per 40 moves and your cleanest month.
- • Drama: winning positions you let slip, mates you missed and your greatest comeback.
- • Personality: the grandmaster you play most like (Tal, Carlsen, Kasparov or Petrosian), your tilt meter and your chess personality.
How to get your Chess Wrapped
- Choose Chess.com or Lichess and type your username.
- Tap Get my Chess Wrapped. Your last year of games loads in seconds.
- Tap through your story. Hold to pause, tap the left side to go back.
- On the last slide, make a story video or image and share it to Instagram or WhatsApp, or copy your link.

Chess.com Wrapped and Lichess Wrapped
The same Wrapped works for both sites. A Chess.com Wrapped reads your public Chess.com archive; a Lichess Wrapped reads your public Lichess games. Each story follows your rating on the time control you play most, so a Lichess blitz rating and a Chess.com rapid rating are never mixed. Is there a Chess.com Wrapped?+
Yes. Pick Chess.com, type your username and you get a Chess.com Wrapped built from your public Chess.com games: bullet, blitz, rapid and longer games. It works any time of year, not only in December.
Is there a Lichess Wrapped?+
Yes. Pick Lichess and enter your username for a Lichess Wrapped: the same year-in-review story built from your public Lichess games, including your rating journey on your most-played time control.
When can I get my Chess Wrapped 2026?+
Right now. Chess Wrapped uses a rolling window, your last 12 months of games (up to your most recent 1,000), so you can open it any day of the year and it always covers the year up to today.
How is my accuracy calculated?+
Accuracy comes from Stockfish evaluations of games you have already analyzed on Audit Chess, using the Lichess accuracy formula with a rating-based adjustment. If fewer than 20 of your games have been analyzed, the engine slides stay locked and one tap starts a free analysis in your browser.
Can I share my Chess Wrapped on Instagram or WhatsApp?+
Yes. The last slide makes a 15-second story video with music, or a story image (1080×1920). On a phone, tap Instagram story or WhatsApp status and choose the app in the share sheet; on a computer the file downloads so you can post it from your phone. Every Wrapped also has a direct link.
Do I need an account, and is it free?+
It is completely free and needs no sign-up. Your games are fetched from the public Chess.com and Lichess APIs and processed in your browser.
Which games are included?+
Standard chess games from the last 12 months, up to your latest 1,000: bullet, blitz, rapid and classical. Variants like Chess960 are skipped. When your games include clock data, hours played add up the time both players really used; otherwise they are estimated and shown with a ≈ sign.
